To be honest, I was totally blown away the first time I laid eyes on this bike by its overall shape and color scheme. You can really tell how much thought the design team put into every tiny detail — that genuinely caught me off guard. Up until this point, I’d only seen AI-generated renderings of it, but the physical prototype looks even better than any digital mockup.
My favorite feature by far is the dashboard layout. Boltric built it flush into the frame, so I no longer have to stress about cracking or breaking the display from drops or crashes. I quickly got the hang of all the power modes and took it for a quick spin right away. The frame geometry translates to an incredibly intuitive, comfortable ride. I even pulled off a sustained wheelie on my very first try.
What really sets this DH e-bike apart is the built-in gyroscope. Using Boltric’s companion phone app, you can cap the maximum wheelie angle to whatever feels right for you. It’s such a thoughtful feature, especially for riders who’re still getting comfortable with stunts.
Once I’d gotten a feel for the X-Max, I headed straight into the mountains to hit a proper downhill trail built for serious enduro riding, packed with steep drops and sharp descents. Flying all the way down from the summit, I was shocked all over again. Every single component locks tight to the frame — zero rattling, no loose parts or weird creaks at all. Even when I pulled off some sketchy jumps, the bike stayed planted and steady the whole time, which instantly boosted my confidence.
With its massive 6500W peak power output, climbing steep inclines is totally effortless. Some of these climbs felt like they hit a 50-degree gradient, if not steeper, and it tackled them without breaking a sweat.

There are tons more awesome little details I’ll break down and share with you guys bit by bit later on. If I had to name one tiny downside from the whole riding experience, it’s that the built-in display isn’t quite as clear to read as I’d hoped. Luckily Boltric already has a fix planned to improve this issue. I’m genuinely hyped for their pre-order launch, and I’m definitely grabbing one the second it goes live.
